Fractures of Humerus Treated by Ender Nail

Abstract
|
|
|
In this paper we document fifteen fractures of the humerus shaft that were treated by Ender nails between, Jan. 1987 and Dec. 1987 and evaluated at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine.
The results from this studyy were summarized as follows;
1. Closed Ender´ ailing of humeral shaft fractures diminish the rates of complication which was seen in open reduction and internal fixation.
2. Closed Ender nailing of humeral shaft fractures can-avoid capsulitis, joint stiffness, prolonged
rehabilitation time and other complications which was seen in closed method.
3. We recommend this method for good results in managing fractures of the humeral shaft. Key words :Fracture, Humerus, Closed Ender Nailing
